According to reports coming out of Denver, the Broncos may be hearing offers come in for their disgruntled quarterback Jay Cutler, but head coach Josh McDaniels insists that the relationship between him and his Pro Bowl signal caller in not beyond repair.

McDaniels, the former Patriots offensive co-ordinator hired as Mike Shanahan's replacement in Denver in January, admitted that the team looked at trading Cutler but nothing came of it.

"He's our quarterback," said McDaniels in an interview with the NFL Network. "We can't predict the future. He's our quarterback, we want him to be our quarterback, we made that very clear to him and we hope he feels the same way."

Their relationship was strained when McDaniels failed to inform his Cutler before trying to trade him in a deal that would have included Matt Cassel, whom McDaniels
tutored as New England's offensive coordinator last year.

Cutler has since asked for a trade through his agent after two meetings failed to smooth out their differences. He skipped McDaniels' first team meeting last week and hasn't participated in the Broncos offseason program, which is voluntary. Cutler has said he will show up for a mandatory minicamp April 17-19 if he's still a member of the Broncos.

There has been a lot of talk about teams that have expressed interest in the services of Cutler, if the Broncos decide to deal him out of Denver.

The Detroit Lions are at the top of the list. They hold the number one pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, but there hasn't been any formal offers put on the table. The New York Jets contacted the Broncos and expressed their interest in Cutler as well, but a deal with New York is unlikely as the Jets do not appear to have enough to give.
