Texas Stadium - Cowboys Fans Take Home A Piece Of History

Dallas Cowboys It was the end of an era on Friday when workers rolled up the famous blue star from the 50-yard line of Texas Stadium on Friday. While crews worked on taking apart the almost 40 year-old Stadium, fans trekked in one last time to pick-up some memories.
Schneider Industries organized an online auction at the end of last year of stadium memorabilia that fetched more than $245,000. Cowboys' fans bought everything from mammoth banners to a Cowboys helmet golf cart. Stadium seats were also being sold Friday directly from the team for $650 a pair.
Urinals from the Cowboys locker room were also sold, and the new owners are getting them with stains and all.

Some other notable items that went in the auction were; Aikman/Staubach Locker, that sold for $5,000. A Michael Irvin Locker that sold for $3,000 and a Tony Romo Locker Placard that sold for $1,300.
Fans will have a chance to bid on an Emmit Smith Locker at the Cowboys host a fan extravaganza in The Corral at Texas Stadium on February 20-22.
Dan Rosenthal with Schneider Industries, said buyers came from all over the country.
"The stuff is being shipped to 49 of the 50 states," said Rosenthal. "The only state that was left out was Wyoming."
