Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday evening when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game in Heinz Field, the Steelers will be hoping to expose a banged up Ravens team in route to Super Bowl XLIII.
Going into Sunday, Pittsburgh is well-rested and as healthy as they have been all year. Only two Steelers were kept out of practice on Wednesday, safety Troy Polamalu and center Justin Hartwig, but both are expected to play Sunday. For the Ravens eight were out including linebacker Terrell Suggs, cornerback Samari Rolle and receiver Derrick Mason.
"It kind of would put them in a disadvantage, not having a veteran guy like Samari," said Steelers receiver Hines Ward. "We're healthy and they're banged up, and hopefully we can exploit that."
Steelers' running back Willie Parker looked as good as he has looked all year last week against San Diego.
Parker was able to take some pressure off of Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh passing game. Roethlisberger was quietly efficient throwing for 181 yards and one touchdown, but more importantly no interceptions.
The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens are very similar football teams. This one is going to come down to the "little" things.
Pittsburgh has a "little" bit better offense, especially if Willie Parker runs well. The Steelers have a "little" bit better defense, especially if the Ravens are without the pass rush of Terrell Suggs and a veteran in the secondary, if Rolle doesn't play. Don't forget another "little" thing; home field advantage. Heinz Field will be rockin' and the Terrible Towels will be waving.
Pittsburgh wins this thing in a dog-fight.
