Terrell Suggs Baltimore Ravens are uncertain if their premier pass rusher Terrell Suggs will be able to play in Sunday's AFC Championship game against the Steelers because of a shoulder injury.
Suggs hurt the shoulder while tackling Titans quarterback Kerry Collins in the second quarter of Baltimore's 13-10 victory last Saturday. He was unable to go in the second half and has not practiced at all this week. That means his streak of playing in 96 consecutive games over six seasons could be in jeopardy.
"This game is bigger than all that nonsense," Suggs said. "This game is 10 times bigger than cheap shots and playing with an injury or not playing with an injury. This game is that important.
If Suggs can't play, the Ravens will most likely go with defensive end Marques Douglas and switched to a standard 4-3 defense.
The Ravens are also concerned about cornerback Samari Rolle. Rolle left Saturday's game in the third quarter and didn't return.
"We're concerned about a lot of guys, and Samari is one of them," said Raven Coach John Harbaugh. "Samari has a chance to get back there, and we'll see what happens as the week goes on."
If Rolle is unable to play he is expected to be replaced by Frank Walker.
In 2007, Rolle missed five games due to what the team called an "undisclosed illness" that was later found to be epilepsy.
