Texas Tech Red Raiders' Michael Crabtree To Enter NFL Draft

Michael Crabtree Texas Tech Red Raiders stand-out wide receiver Michael Crabtree announced on Tuesday he will forgo his final two collegiate seasons to enter the NFL Draft.
The 21-year-old star wide-out compiled 3,127 yards receiving and 41 touchdowns in his two years with the Red Raiders. That included 97 receptions for 1,165 yards and 19 touchdowns this past season. He was the Biletnikoff Award winner in both of his seasons at Texas Tech. The prestigious award is given to the country's top wide receiver.
So, without much left to accomplish at the college level, he's eager to see how he'll do on the big stage.
In a press conference held at an upscale hotel in a suburb north of Dallas, Crabtree he's giving up his final
"As far as I've seen, top 5," said Crabtree. "That's what I'm striving for." He went on to say, "I feel like the next level will be a big challenge for me and I'm looking forward to it."
Crabtree's pre-draft training will be overseen by former Olympic champion Michael Johnson. At the top of Crabtree's list of priorities will be trying to improve on his speed. Also, he must get over an ankle injury that slowed him during the Cotton Bowl.
Elsewhere Tuesday, those announcing their intention to enter the NFL draft were Ball State quarterback Nate Davis, Boise State receiver Jeremy Childs and Penn State defensive end Aaron Maybin.
