Eagles vs Giants
Eagles vs Giants
When the defending Super Bowl Champion Giants open the 2009 playoffs against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Giants will be running into the what might be the hottest team in the NFL. Odds makers have the Giants at -4 with the total in the contest sitting at 38.5.

With a trip to the NFC title game at stake, the Eagles and Giants meet for the third time today at wind-swept Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

The Philadelphia offense appears to be running on all cylinders as they head into the divisional round.

The Eagles defeated Minnesota 26-14 in the Wild Card round last Sunday. Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb passed for 300 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Eagles, while running back Brian
Westbrook rushed for 38 yards on 20 carries and caught a 71-yard touchdown pass in the win.

The Giants and Eli Manning will get a big boast as they expect to have the services of running back Brandon Jacobs against the Eagles on Sunday. New York's stand out rusher has been nursing a knee injury but practiced this week and is listed as probable for Sunday.

With most of their starters sitting on the side-line, The Giants lost to Minnesota 20-19 in Week 17. Eli Manning passed for 119 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions in limited action. Starting in place of the injured Jacobs, running back Derrick Ward rushed for 77 yards on 15 carries.

Both of these defenses are very good and this one is going to be an old-school street brawl, however, the offenses will shine today in the Meadowlands. Take the over 38.5.
