Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday afternoon in the Meadowlands, the New York Giants host the third installment of this heated match-up when the Eagles come calling. Odds makers are calling New York favorites against visiting Philadelphia. NFL betting lines have the Giants at -4 with the total in the game set at 38.5.

New York finished the regular season at 12-4 and captured the no. seed in the NFC even thought they stumbled a bit down the stretch dropping three of their last four games. The Giants got what they needed, a first round bye and a chance to get healthy. Running back Brandon Jacobs is expected to play after missing the two of the final three weeks of the season nursing his ailing knee.

"The regular season is over, whatever the numbers might be," said Giants coach Tom Coughlin. "We have been cast into a situation where we had the bye. You heard me say that I thought the bye was
good for our team. I don't know that I would necessarily say that every year. In this case, I thought it was."

Bye week or not, New York will have to deal with a Philadelphia team that rallied to make the post-season and has now won five out of their last six including a 26-14 win in the Wild-Card round against the Vikings. Since the coach Andy Reid's infamous benching of quarterback Donovan McNabb, the Eagles signal caller has played excellent, carrying Philadelphia through their playoff push.

McNabb helped his Eagles win against these very Giants 20-14 on Dec. 7 and dealt New York's only home loss of the season. McNabb was 19-of-30 passing for 191 yards, and running back Brian Westbrook rushed for 131 yards and caught six passes for 72 yards, including a 40-yarder in the fourth quarter for the winning score.

This one is going to be a dog-fight and might come down to a late field goal. Take the Eagles getting the 4 points.
