Philadelphia Eagles
The NFL has given us a very intriguing match-up in Sunday afternoon's late game when the Philadelphia Eagles head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in an NFC Wild-Card game. The Eagles have won four out of five, while the Vikings have won five out of six with both teams seemingly running on all cylinders. Odds makers are calling the Eagles road favorites as NFL betting lines have Philadelphia at -3 with the total sitting at 41.

At 9-6-1, Philadelphia is making their seventh appearance in the post-season in nine years. This improbable run was capped by a Week 17 series of events that saw everything go Philly's way.

The Eagles avoided elimination when the Oakland Raiders upset Tampa Bay and the Houston Texans beat Chicago in the early games. Then Philadelphia completed their unlikely journey to the playoffs with a 44-6 rout over Dallas to clinch the final NFC wild-card spot.

"A lot
of people counted us out and said it was over," said quarterback Donovan McNabb. "We continued to stay focused on what the plan was. Things worked out well and we're playing next week."

The 10-6 Vikings season has been all over the place. After opening 2008 with back to back losses, Vikings benched starting quarterback Tarvaris Jackson in favor of long-time back-up Gus Frerotte. Behind Frerotte, Minnesota took a 3-4 record into the bye week.

The Viking rebounded down the stretch and got a huge win last Sunday over the New York Giants to capture their first playoff berth since 2004 and first division title since 2000.

"This season has been like a rollercoaster, up and down," running back Adrian Peterson said. "As a team we were able to overcome adverse situations."

The Vikings are playing very well. Unfortunately for Minnesota, they are running into a Philadelphia team that is playing too good right now. Take the Eagles and give the 3 points.
