NFL betting odds have the New York Giants as front runners in the race to win the Super Bowl over the 11 other teams in the NFL playoffs. Las Vegas sports books are calling the NFC's no. 1 seed 2-1 favorites to repeat as champions.
The Tennessee Titans, who had the league's best record at 13-3, are the favorite among AFC teams at 4-1.
"The Giants' playoff opponents aren't as good as the AFC playoffs teams, giving them an easier trip to the title game," says Mike Seba, a senior oddsmaker for Las Vegas Sports Consultants. "It's not because they're so much better, their path to get to the Super Bowl is easier."
New York is getting set to take on either the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons or Philadelphia Eagles to advance to the NFC Championship game.
For the Tennessee Titans, they will host either Baltimore, San Diego or Indianapolis.
The biggest two longshots would be the Arizona Cardinal at 40-1 and the Miami Dolphins at 30-1.
The New England Patriots, at 3-2, and Dallas Cowboys, 2-1, both were favorites to reach the Super Bowl coming into the season. Both have failed to make the playoffs. While the two teams that opened with the longest odds to win the Super Bowl, the Dolphins, at 250-1 and the Falcons, at 200-1 are now in the playoffs.
This weekend's wild-card games have opened with all four road team favored; Indianapolis Colts at -1, Baltimore Ravens at -3, Atlanta Falcons at -2 and Philadelphia Eagles at -3.
