Sunday the New York Giants head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings having already locked up home field throughout the NFC playoffs with their victory against the Panthers last Sunday night. Minnesota on the other hand, needs a win or a Chicago loss to clinch the NFC North.

Odds maker are expecting New York's regulars to be on the bench or at least see limited action and calling in the Vikings home favorites in this one. NFL betting lines have Minnesota at -7 with the total in the game sitting at 41.5.

After a loss a week ago to the Falcons, Minnesota fell into a tie atop the division with Chicago, but owns the tiebreaker. The Vikings haven't won a division title since taking the NFC Central in 2000. Minnesota will need to bounce back and play well as the Bears are expected to win their game in Houston.

"Our guys have come back looking
to improve every single week," said Vikings coach Brad Childress. "There's plenty we can improve on."

Both of these teams play very good defense and run the ball extremely well, which should make this a tight, physical game.

The big question this week for the Giants is who will play and for how long. In last year's regular season finale, coach Tom Coughlin went all out to try to beat the then-unbeaten New England Patriots despite securing a playoff berth a week earlier.

"Our basic philosophy is that we want to win every game and that's where our mentality should be," Coughlin said. "We will be smart about any advice we get from our medical people."

Running an NFL offense is all about timing and rhythm. With the Giants losing two of their last three, expect New York to play there regulars and look to get on a roll going into the post-season.

Take the Giants getting the 7 points.
