College Bowl Picks - Florida State Seminoles vs Wisconsin Badgers

Florida State Seminoles Saturday afternoon in the Champs Sports Bowl the Florida State Seminoles square-off against the Wisconsin Badgers in a battle of speed and power. Odds makers are calling Florida State favorites in the Florida Citrus Bowl, in Orlando. NCAA betting lines have the Seminoles at -6 with the total sitting at 52.
At 8-4, the Noles are to win nine games for the first time in four seasons and give coach Bobby Bowden his 21st bowl victory.
"It's been a while since Florida State won nine games," said Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder. "A win would be a great way to head into the off-season."
Ponder will be looking to rebound after a poor performance against the Florida Gators in the Seminoles last regular season game. The Florida State offense is predicated on his ability to run and spread the field. Ponder has thrown
This Seminoles team has shown flashes of greatness, but their overall inconsistent play has not let them get to the next level of elite teams in college football.
On the other side of the ball the key will be stopping a Wisconsin rushing attack that ranked first in the Big Ten and 14th nationally with a 212-yard game average.
The Badger's are lead by running back's P.J. Hill and John Clay. The two have combined for a little under 1,900 yards on the ground and 22 touchdowns in 2008. Hill broke the 1,000 yard and double-digit touchdown mark for the third consecutive season.
Both of these teams have had up and down seasons, however, in what is essentially a home game for the Seminoles, they should be able to out play the Badgers.
