Boise State Broncos
Boise State Broncos
Wednesday night the Boise State Broncos face-off with the TCU Horned Frogs in the Poinsettia Bowl in one of the most anticipated non-BCS matchups of this bowl season. Odds makers are calling the 12-0 Broncos favorites against the 10-2 Frogs. NCAA betting lines have Boise State at -3 with the total in the game at 45.

With Boise State looking to complete their second unbeaten season in the last three years and TCU trying to put an exclamation point on a season that has shown them to be one of the elite non-BCS teams in the country, this should be a great one to watch.

The Broncos have the nation's second-best record the last four seasons (45-7) while TCU (40-10) is seventh. Since 2003, Boise State is 38-1 at home, best in the country; TCU's home record of 31-4
ranks sixth.

"I think it's one of the best matchups of all the bowl games," said TCU coach Gary Patterson. "Besides the national championship game, I'd put this one right up with the one that'll be played up north of here."

Boise State has been a scoring machine as of late. Over their final five games of the regular season, the Broncos are averaging almost 50 points per game. In 2008, Quarterback Kellen Moore has thrown for 3,264 yards and 25 touchdowns over the Boise State's 12 wins. They have outscored their opponents by about 4 to 1.

Though TCU has double digit wins in 2008, they have done so mainly against sub-par opponents. The Frogs are 1-2 against ranked teams this year. Their only win coming at home against BYU.

This is going to be a fun game to watch. Take Boise State and give the 3 points.
