The Indianapolis Colts are heading into another season as one of the elite teams in the NFL. Led by their former Super Bowl MVP Quarterback Peyton Manning, the Colts have their sites set on the nothing less then another Super Bowl crown. Most major bookmakers have the Colts opening at around 7/1 to win Super Bowl XLIII. And for good reason.

With Peyton Manning, one of the finest QB's the NFL has ever seen, flanked by Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne on the outside, Dallas Clark over the middle and Anthony Gonzales in the slot, some believe the Colts have one of the most explosive offenses in the league. Not to mention, Joseph Addai is poised to rush for his third straight 1000 yard season. It is no surprise that the under/over on Colts regular season wins is 11 in
2008.

There seems to be little concern about Manning's surgically repaired knee. Team president Bill Polian called the procedure "routine" and Peyton is expected to be ready for the season opener against Chicago. Before his surgery, Peyton had only missed one practice in his 10 year career. Barring any setbacks, Manning should be back on the practice field around August 15th.

On the defensive side of he ball the Colts are led by 2007 GMC Defensive Player of the Year safety Bob Sanders and veteran defensive end Dwight Freeney. Sanders and Freeney anchor a defensive that led the NFL in fewest point allowed with 262. The Colts ranked second in pass defense and third in total yards per game.

There is little doubt, the Colts will have continued success in 2008 and make a legitament run at Super Bowl XLIII.
