On Thursday night after a short week, the Indianapolis Colts head down to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. Odds makers are calling the Colts road favorites in a game that means little to the Jaguars. NFL betting lines have Indianapolis at -5.5 with the total sitting at 44.

The Colts', at 10-4, reign as AFC South champions is over, but after a slow start they have rattled off seven straight wins and are at the top of the AFC wild-card standings. With one more win this week in Jacksonville, the Colts will clinch a playoff spot and lock themselves into the no. 5 seed.

5 seed.

"At 3-4, we knew what the problems were," said Indy coach Tony Dungy. "A lot of it was ourselves and our execution. That's what we focused on, more so than pointing the finger at someone or figuring out who was to blame. A lot of that gets back to the players really listening to the coaches."

The Jaguars have been one of the league's best rushing teams in recent years; however, with Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor finding running room difficult to come by, the Jaguars' lack of a solid ground attack has been their downfall in 2008.

In their meeting in Indianapolis, back on September 21, the Jags were able to move the ball on the ground. Jacksonville rushed for 236 yards in the Jaguars' 23-21 win. Both Taylor and Jones-Drew broke the century mark and the Jags won a Josh Scobee 51-yard field goal with just 4 seconds remaining.

With Taylor now out for the season, the bulk of the carries will go to Jones-Drew.

Since September, these two teams have gone in completely different directions since their last meeting. The Jags have only pride to play for and they will keep it close, but Indianapolis will pull away late. Take the Colts and give the 5.5 points.
