Cowboys 20 : Giants 8
Cowboys 20 : Giants 8
Sunday night the New York Giants lost their second straight game to a division opponent to fall to 11-3.

The Dallas Cowboys' defense got to Eli Manning all night long, sacking the Giants signal caller 8 times, intercepted him twice and limited New York to less than 200 yards passing.

It was Dallas' third straight game with at least five sacks.

The Giants have the NFC East title lock-up after last Sunday, but they have lost consecutive games for the first time since starting 0-2 last season.

"I'm disappointed, a little frustrated, but not concerned," said Manning, who was 18-of-34 passing for 191 yards with two interceptions. "We have to get back to playing good football. We'll have
our hands full. The defense is playing well, but offensively, we're not doing our part."

None of this will matter if New York can pull out a win next week at home. Next Sunday night they host Carolina in a match-up that will decide the top seed in the NFC.

In the NFC playoff picture, the Dallas Cowboys, at 9-5, are still on the outside looking in. The Cowboys are tied with the Buccaneers and the Falcons for the conference's final two spots. If the season ended today the Cowboys would be out by virtue of the tie-breaker.

The Cowboys will have to win out and hope for a loss by either the Bucs or the Falcons to get into the postseason. They way they looked defensively Sunday night, they could be a very dangerous team to run into in the playoffs.
