Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles
Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles host the Cleveland Browns with Philadelphia's playoff life on the line. Odds makers are calling the Eagles heavy favorites in this game they have to win. NFL betting lines have Philadelphia at -15.5 with the total 40.

A week ago against the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants, the Eagles sent a message to the rest of the league that they are still contenders. Many had written off Philadelphia after their 13-13 tie with hapless Cincinnati followed by a 36-7 blow-out loss to Baltimore the following week.

Since then, the Eagles have rattled off two impressive wins against division leaders. First, a 48-20 win Thanksgiving night at home against Arizona. Then a 20-14 win in the Meadowlands against the Giants.

Philadelphia needs to stay on this roll for any hope to make the postseason.

"Anything can happen in the
NFL," said Eagles coach Andy Reid. "So you just have to make sure that you take care of your business and you can't worry about really anything else."

The Browns are already out of the playoff picture and it appears that head coach Romeo Crennel might be out of Cleveland's plans for the future. Rampant rumors have run wild that the team will not bring him back next year.

"I can't be worried about that," he said. "Rumors and stories, they're going to be out there. When you lose, that's what happens. Not only for me but for other people in the league."

That is not the only thing Cleveland needs to worry about on Monday night. Pro-Bowl tight-end is out with a knee injury, Quarterback's Brady Quinn and Derek have both been lost for the season due to injury and the Browns defense ranks 26th in the league, allowing almost 360 yards per game.

It would take a miracle for the Browns to pull this one out. Take the Eagles and give the 15.5 points.
