Sunday afternoon in a battle of division leader, the Denver Broncos head to Charlotte to take on a Carolina Panthers team that is very tough at home. Odds makers are calling the Panthers favorites as they host the visiting Broncos. NFL betting lines have Carolina at -6 with the total sitting at 48.

A win in this one combined with a Dallas Cowboys or Atlanta Falcons loss and the Panthers would lock up a playoff spot. However, with the rest of the NFC South breathing down their neck, a loss could knock Carolina out of sole of first place in the division.

"I wish there was more of a cushion there," said Panthers offensive tackle Jordon Gross. "It's going to come down to the wire, and we talked about winning this one at a time. The nice thing is that we're
in control of our own destiny."

The Broncos are in a similar position in that they control their own fate. One more victory would give Denver the ACF West division crown and a home playoff game in the wild-card round.

The Panthers will try to pound the ball on the ground as they face a Broncos defense that is allowing almost 140 yards rushing per game. A week ago against the Buccaneers, Carolina running backs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart combined for more than 300 yards and four touchdowns in the Panthers 38-23 Monday night.

The Panthers are 7-0 at home this year and they should be able to run all over the Broncos; control the clock and win this game. Denver will have to wait at least one more week to clinch the division. Take the Carolina Panthers and give the 6 points at home.
