Denver Broncos Sunday afternoon in a battle of division leader, the Denver Broncos head to Charlotte to take on a Carolina Panthers team that is very tough at home. Odds makers are calling the Panthers favorites as they host the visiting Broncos. NFL betting lines have Carolina at -6 with the total sitting at 48.
A win in this one combined with a Dallas Cowboys or Atlanta Falcons loss and the Panthers would lock up a playoff spot. However, with the rest of the NFC South breathing down their neck, a loss could knock Carolina out of sole of first place in the division.
"I wish there was more of a cushion there," said Panthers offensive tackle Jordon Gross. "It's going to come down to the wire, and we talked about winning this one at a time. The nice thing is that we're
The Broncos are in a similar position in that they control their own fate. One more victory would give Denver the ACF West division crown and a home playoff game in the wild-card round.
The Panthers will try to pound the ball on the ground as they face a Broncos defense that is allowing almost 140 yards rushing per game. A week ago against the Buccaneers, Carolina running backs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart combined for more than 300 yards and four touchdowns in the Panthers 38-23 Monday night.
The Panthers are 7-0 at home this year and they should be able to run all over the Broncos; control the clock and win this game. Denver will have to wait at least one more week to clinch the division. Take the Carolina Panthers and give the 6 points at home.

Denver has got to be a little worried with the Chargers comeback win. A loss to the Panthers will ignite a Chargers offense that has been dormant at times this year. If in fact it does come down to the Denver San Diego game to end the season, Denver will have had one of the biggest meltdowns in recent memory. If Denver does back into the playoffs, they can thank Ed Hoculee. The worst call since the holy roller! Good luck in the "playoffs" as any other AFC team will be at least 10 point favorites, however justice will have been served if Denver drops it's last three and San Diego ends on a four game streak Last I checked THe Panthers were up 17-10!
