Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday the Pittsburgh Steelers head down to Baltimore to take on their AFC North rival. Odds makers are calling the Ravens home favorites in what should prove to be one of the most physical games of the season. NFL betting lines have Baltimore at -3 with the total sitting at 33.5.
The Steelers and the Ravens are mirror images of each other. They are 1 and 2 in the NFL in most defensive categories as usual. Both of these teams are tough physical football teams and their offenses are not flashy but they win games.
The Ravens has shocked everyone except maybe themselves this season. No one would have thought that with a rookie head coach and rookie quarterback that the Ravens would be in a position to win the division.
Pittsburgh has not let up 300 yards in any game this season. Last week the Dallas Cowboys came close but with Dallas holding a 13-3 lead in the fourth quarter the Steelers' defense took over. When the offense
"We're going to win by any means necessary," said linebacker James Harrison. "If the defense has to score, if the special teams have to kick in a score, or if the offense has to score 50 points, whatever it takes to win."
Baltimore has done their share off scoring this season as well. The Ravens scored six times on defense, including last Sunday against Washington. In the 24-10 victory, safety Ed Reed had two interceptions for the second time in three weeks and returned a fumble for a touchdown.
"Ed is going to always be Ed," said linebacker Ray Lewis, "but the way our defense came out and set down Clinton Portis the guys up front did an extremely incredible freaking job."
This game is going to be a fun one to watch. Take the Steelers getting the 3 points. This one may be decided by less than that.
