San Diego Charges
San Diego Charges
Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium the Kansas City Chiefs host their division rival San Diego Chargers in a classic AFC West battle. Odds makers are calling the Chargers road favorites against the Chiefs. NFL betting lines have San Diego at -6 with the total sitting at 45.

With Kansas City out of any playoff contention at 2-11 and San Diego at 5-8 needing to win out and needing lots of help to get in, this game is more about pride than anything else. Though the Chargers have not been officially eliminated, they are not likely to make the post season. However, they have not lost hope.

"We've got to win first and foremost," San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers said. "We can control us and only us. However it plays out, we're going to play hard all the way to the end. We're
fighting to hopefully finish at .500 and never know if we'll play more after that or not. We're going to keep fighting."

Even with the Chiefs being one of the worst in the league, San Diego has little margin for error. Kansas City has been very good at creating turnovers this season and will be playing hard at home.

Last time out in San Diego, the Chargers narrowly escaped with a 20-19 victory in a game where Rivers was intercepted twice. Kansas City is tied for eighth in the NFL with 24 takeaways.

Arrowhead Stadium is one of the toughest places to play on the road in the league. After their one point loss last time in San Diego, this is a game the Chiefs think they can win. Kansas City will me playing with a lot of intensity.

The Chargers will win in a close one. Take the Chiefs getting the 6 points at home.
