Cowboys Favored to Win After two disappointing post seasons losses in the last two years, the odds makers seem to think that the Dallas Cowboys are ready to take their game to the next level. Dallas is coming in at 7/1, one of the top favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2008. The Cowboys under/over on regular season wins is at 10.5, however, prognosticators seem to think they will win more then 10, as the over bet is paying out at -145 and the under is at +115.
The Cowboys did not make any substantial free agent moves on offense in the off-season. Instead they re-signed Flozel Adams, one of the top tackles in the game. Also, the Cowboys landed Arkansas Razorbacks RB Felix Jones with the 22nd pick over all in the draft. Jones should be a key contributor in spelling Pro-Bowler, Marion Barber III. Dallas is stacked on offense, with
On the other side of the ball, Dallas franchise tagged safety Ken Hamlin and signed veteran free agent linebacker Zack Thomas. The acquisition of Thomas will definitely bring leadership and experience to the locker room. With the 25th over all pick in the draft Dallas added cornerback Mike Jenkins out of the University of South Florida. Jenkins is thought to be by some, the most "NFL ready" prospect at cornerback to come out of the draft.
Many pundits are ready to ride Dallas coattails this year, and for good reason. With an innovative young offensive coordinator in Jason Garrett and Head coach Wade Phillips, who many believe is one of the best defensive minds in the NFL, the Cowboys should not be short on success in 2008.

I don't like to see the Cowboys picked to win the SB. Teams picked early are usually a disappointment!!

The Cowboys lost to the NYG in the 2007 post-season, and to the Seahawks in the 2006 post-season, but at 9-7, the 2005 Cowboys did not make the playoffs after the 2005 season.
So the statement that the 'Boys are coming off three-straight playoff losses in the last three years is not accurate. |

Cowboys will crush the 10.5 over winning 14 with a devastating defensive front and superb special teams play.

*LOL*
Dallas sucks. I am looking forward to third straight flop this year. First one was: Romo's screw-ass-job. Second one was: Terrell's wimpy tearful "Thats....my....quarter....back." Third one...who's gonna top it? I'm looking forward to their annual comedic finish; they are truly unique in this class. |
