San Francisco 49ers Sunday afternoon Brett Favre and the AFC East leading New York Jets head out west to take on the San Francisco 49ers, Odds makers are calling the Jets road favorites in Candlestick Park. NFL betting lines have New York at -3.5 with the total sitting at 44.5.
After a letdown last week against the Denver Broncos, the Jets look to get back on track against the Niners. New York missed an opportunity to really take control over the division last week and they will try to re-establish momentum and maintain their hold on first place.
At 8-4, the Jets entered last week on a five-game win streak, its longest since 2004. The promise New York showed during the streak, however, was absent last week when the club fell 34-17 at home against Denver. Favre was 23-for-43 for 247 yards, but threw an interception and no touchdowns.

Good teams play with consistency. The Jets are still learning how to be a good team.
With the loss, New York squandered a chance create some separation and build a two-game lead in the AFC East. They're one game ahead of New England and Miami with four games remaining for each club.
"To have a two-game lead at this point in the season would've been big," tight end Chris Baker said. "At the same time, we have to just worry about what we can control. If we go and take care of business, we'll be fine."
Baker is right, this week anyway. The Jets should indeed bounce back against San Francisco. Take the Jets on the road and give the 3.5 points against the Niners.
