Sunday afternoon the Atlanta Falcons head to the Super Dome in New Orleans to take on their NFC South division rival Saints. Odds makers are calling New Orleans home favorites. NFL betting odds have the Saints at -3 with the total sitting at 51.5.

The 6-6 Saints are hanging by a thread in their battle for a playoff berth. New Orleans will be looking for revenge after Atlanta won the first game between these two teams back in November, despite the Saints' 521 yards of offense.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees is on pace to break Dan Marino's single season record for passing yards. With 3,870 yards through the air thus far, Brees leads the NFL in passing, but the Saints have been plagued by inconsistency on defense, allowing 29 or more points seven times this season.

New
Orleans has also had problems turning the ball over. Brees threw three interceptions in a 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers last week, including two in the fourth quarter.

"We had our perfect chances out there and we didn't take advantage of it," Brees said. "It's disappointing, very disappointing. It's probably one of the more disappointing losses I have ever been a part of."

Atlanta has won six of their last eight and though they trail both Carolina and Tampa Bay by one game for the division lead, they are tied with Dallas for the NFC's final playoff spot.

"We're certainly in good position and we've got an opportunity, so we're excited about that," said rookie quarterback Matt Ryan.

Look for both the Saints and the Falcons to be able to score at will in this one, it will be a shootout. Take the over 51.5.
