Sunday Chicago will play host to the Jacksonville Jaguars as the Bears look to keep pace with the first place Vikings, who they trail by one game for the division lead. Odds makers are calling Chicago home favorites as they push for a playoff berth. NFL betting lines have the Bears at -6.5 with the total sitting at 40.

At 6-6, the Bears play three of their final four game games at home. They may not have to win all of their remaining game to make the post season; however it appears to be their best chance after losing last Sunday night 34-14 to Minnesota.

"Win out. Win the NFC North," says center Olin Kruetz. "We know what we have to do to get in the playoffs."

It is hard to say that any one play or series can make or break a season, but their offense was shut down on a pivotal series in the first half last week that may prove to ruin their playoff hopes.

With a 4 point lead and 5
minutes to go in the half, Chicago had a first down at the Minnesota 1, but turned the ball over on downs. On the ensuing possession, Vikings quarterback Gus Frerotte threw out of his on end-zone and hooked up for a 99-yard touchdown pass with former Bear Bernard Berrian to completely deflate the Chicago.

The Bears never recovered and fell a game back.

"We're definitely running out of time with four games to go ... but we still have time," Chicago coach Lovie Smith said. "Nothing has been decided right now. We're one game out of first place. We need a little bit of help."

Jacksonville had high expectations after going 11-5 in 2007 and beating Pittsburgh in the wild-card game. The Jaguars, though, have been one of the league's biggest disappointments. The sit in last place in the AFC South, seven games behind Tennessee.

The Bears may not be a lock to get into the post season, but they take care of the Jags this Sunday. Take Chicago and give the 6.5 points.
