While the Redskins are fighting for their playoff lives, the Giants are playing well and coasting into the playoffs. At 10-1, the Giants own the best record in the NFC and look to extend their winning streak to seven games. Since beating the 49ers on October 19th, New York has won each of their last five against playoff contenders.

"Well, we have known that we have had a tough schedule," said quarterback Eli Manning. "We knew that five weeks ago that it was going to be a tough road ahead of us and we were going to be playing a lot of good teams. And it is going
to continue."

At 7-4, the Redskins need a win to keep pace with the second place Cowboys who now have a half game lead after dismantling the Seahawks on Thanksgiving day. After starting strong the Redskins have only won once since beating the Lions on October 26th.

The Skins will need a big day out of running back Clinton Portis. The Washington tailback was held to just 3.7 yards per carry in the season opener against the Giants. That was Portis' lowest average of the season.

"We really didn't do a lot," Portis said. "It was a new offense, the first game of the season, they came out, and we got behind early. We kind of got away from the running game."
