Miami Dolphins Sunday afternoon the Miami Dolphins head to the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis to take on the struggling Rams. Odds makers are calling 6-5 Miami a big road favorite against 2-9 St Louis. NFL betting lines have the Dolphins -8 with the total set at 44.

The Dolphins come in having won four out of their last five games and will be looking to get a much needed win to keep pace with the rest of the tight AFC East. Their one defeat came at the hands of the New England Patriots a week ago 48-28.

After going 1-15 last season, the Dolphins could lose the rest of their 2008 schedule and still consider this year a significant improvement. However, they've played so well that not making the post-season will be a major disappointment.

Not coming up with a win against the Rams would
be a colossal blow to their psyche, not to mention put a serious damper on their playoff hopes. St Louis ranks among the worst in the league in almost every major statistical category, the exception being their passing defense, where they are 21st in the NFL.

Offensively, the Dolphins should have their way with the Rams. Quarterback Chad Pennington has thrown for over 2,700 yards, eleven touchdowns and has a QB rating of 93.7. On the ground, running backs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams have combine for 1,100 yards and twelve touchdowns.

Miami should feast on what is turning out to be an extremely careless St Louis offense. Miami is tied for third in the league with a +8 turnover ratio, while St. Louis is tied for 28th with a -7 ratio, thanks to 14 interceptions and eight fumbles.
