Auburn vs Alabama
Saturday afternoon no. 1 ranked Alabama hosts the Auburn Tigers in the annual Iron Bowl game in Tuscaloosa. Odds are calling the Crimson Tide double digit favorites against an Auburn team that has lost five out of their last six. NCAA betting lines have Alabama at -14.5 with the total sitting at 41.

Victories Saturday and next week against No. 2 Florida in Atlanta in the SEC championship game, and the Tide will earn a spot in the BCS title game Jan. 8 in Miami.

"I guess that's the way you'd want it to be," said Alabama safety Rashad Johnson. "You don't want anything else to be able to control your destiny except for you. That's pretty much what we have left for us."

As impressive as the Tide has been this year,
the Auburn Tigers have won six in a row against their in-state rivals. Each of those games during that span has been decided by 10 points or less.

Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville does no expect Alabama to be looking past his Tigers.

"We'll get Alabama's best shot this week," said Tuberville. "We're not going to get any of that looking forward or any of that stuff. It's not going to be one of those games that they're going to walk out and think they're going to win the game."

Both of these teams enter this contest having been idle last weekend.

Alabama beat Mississippi State 32-7 on Nov. 15, while Auburn fell 17-13 to No. 13 Georgia the same day.

Their recent history won't matter much in this one. Take the Crimson Tide and give the 14.5 points.
