Florida State Seminoles Bobby Bowden and his Florida State Seminoles head to Byrd Stadium to take on the 25th ranked Terrapins with the ACC Atlantic Division firmly in Maryland's sights. Odds makers have the Noles as slight favorites on the road even with the Terrapins playing well and Florida State coming off a loss the Boston College. NCAA betting lines have the Seminoles as -1.5 with the total set at 47.5.
At 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the ACC, the Terrapins look to move closer to a berth in the ACC title game as they host the inconsistent Seminoles on Saturday night. Maryland is the only team in the nation this season with four wins over ranked opponents.
"I'd like to tell you it's great coaching, but it's really kids who rise to the occasion," Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen said of his teams play.
The Terrapins' 17-15 win last
Meanwhile, the Seminoles are looking to bounce back from last week's disappointing loss to Boston College. Despite being short-handed on offense because of player suspensions, Bowden wasn't making any excuses.
The Noles were without receivers Taiwan Easterling, Bert Reed, Corey Surrency, Cameron Wade and Richard Goodman for their involvement in an on campus fight.
"Hopefully the distractions are gone," Bowden said. "If you ever want to play your best, it would be this weekend.
Look for the Noles to be ready to play and do well with a complete offense. Take to Seminoles and give the 1.5 points.
