Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday night the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Cincinnati Bengals in Heinz Field. The Steelers sit atop the AFC North division at 7-3, while the Bengals are one coming off a 13-13 tie with Eagles. The NFL's first tie in six years.
Odds makers are calling the Steelers a double digit home favorite as both teams look to win a big divisional game. NFL betting lines have Pittsburgh at -11 with the total sitting at 35.
After starting off the season at 5-1 the Steelers have cooled off a bit, going 2-2 in their last four. However, they still have a two game lead in the AFC North.
A week ago against San Diego, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was 31-of-41 passing for 308 yards in Pittsburgh's 11-10 victory over the Chargers. Running back Willie Parker carried 25 times for 115 yards and wide-out Hines Ward caught 11 Roethlisberger passes for
"It was weird," said Ward. "We definitely have to work on our offense. But this game is about wins and losses, and we won."
The Bengals are coming off a bizarre game of their own. Last Sunday, Philadelphia and Cincinnati played to the first tie in the NFL since 2002.
"I don't know if you pat yourself on the back or be mad," Bengals defensive end Frostee Rucker said. "We came out here, played our hearts out and we didn't lose, so we'll just take it at that and strive to do better this Thursday night."
There is a winter weather advisory in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas tonight that could bring about six inches of snow. After the both of these offenses struggled to put up points a week ago combined with the forecast, take the under 35 points. This one has all the makings of being a sloppy mess.
