No. 1 Ranked Alabama
There were no major upsets this week as all the national title contenders took care of business and the BCS standings were unchanged.

In the top spot, the Alabama beat Mississippi State 32-7 to move to 11-0. The Crimson Tide pounded out almost 200 yards on the ground against a weak Bulldogs rush defense as they rolled over Mississippi State.

After a week off, Texas Tech remained at no. 2. The Red Raiders head to Norman this coming Saturday to take on the 5th ranked Oklahoma Sooners in their fourth straight against ranked teams.

The Sooners also had the week off, while no. 4 Florida and no. 3 Texas both had blowout victories Saturday.

No. 6 USC was also a big winner Saturday, however they are still stuck behind the top
five and in need of at least a couple upsets to reach the BCS Title game. The Trojans would also need help to win the Pac-10 and earn a trip to the Rose Bowl. Oregon State beat the Trojans in September and can earn a Rose Bowl bid if they can win out against Arizona and Oregon.

Utah and no. 8 Penn State can lock up BCS spot this Saturday with wins.

The Nittany Lions can win the Big Ten and advance to the Rose Bowl by beating Michigan State in Happy Valley.

Utah at no. 7, would lock up an automatic spot in the Bowl Championship Series if it can complete its perfect season with a victory against BYU.

Boise State is no. 9 in the standings and remains unbeaten. The Broncos can be eligible for an at-large BCS berth if they win out and are Western Athletic Conference champions.
