Both Tampa Bay and Minnesota are at or near the lead in their respective divisions, and this matchup could surely have postseason implications down the road. Odds makers are calling the Buccaneers home favorites as the Vikings come in the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. NFL betting lines have the Bucs at -4 with the total sitting at 39.5.

Minnesota at 5-4 enters this one with the fifth ranked rushing offense in the league, while Tampa Bay has the league's No. 11 rushing defense. Vikings running back Andrian Peterson ran for a season-high 192 yards and a touchdown, he also caught three passes for 33 yards.

"I can't compare him to anybody," Vikings quarterback Gus Frerotte said of his star tailback. "I mean, the guy is just incredible."

Peterson is averaging more
than 140 yards per game on the ground in his last four.

Tampa Bay comes in at 6-3 and has held opponents to less than 70 yards on the ground and an average of 10.8 points in their four home games. The Bucs have won all four of those home games. The Buccaneers have play great against the run at home but time out Kansas City they gave up a season high 183 yards rushing in their overtime win.

"We've got to double our efforts this week," said coach Jon Gruden. "Peterson is really something. No disrespect to anybody else, but this guy's really something. ... I know our guys are eager for this challenge."

This one has all the makings of being a tough defensive low-scoring battle. Coming off the bye, Coach Gruden will have his Bucs ready for Peterson and the Vikings rushing attack. Bet the total in this one, take the under 39.5.
