Florida Gators The 4th ranked Florida Gators have clinched a spot in the SEC championship game with another impressive victory their last time out. However, to keep their national title hopes alive, Florida must avoid a loss in their three remaining regular season games.
The Gators host the 25th ranked South Carolina as Steve Spurrier and his Gamecocks come to town. Odds makers are calling Florida a double digit favorite in the Swamp. NCAA betting lines have the Gators at -22.5 with the total sitting at 49.
At 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the conference, the Gators have won the SEC East for the second time in three years with their 42-14 victory over Vanderbilt last Saturday. Florida plays no. 1 Alabama in the SEC championship game in Atlanta on Dec. 6, but that match-up will have a lot more significance if Florida arrives at the Georgia Dome having won out.

The 7-3 Gamecocks, 4-3 in the SEC, are back in the rankings for the first time in since early in the season and they hope their stay is not as brief as the last one. The Gamecocks were ranked no. 24 in the polls after beating North Carolina State 34-0 in its season opener. The Gamecocks were out of the polls a week later, though, following a 24-17 loss to Vanderbilt.
"We've had a pretty good little run thus far and we've got two big, big games left to finish up the season," Spurrier said. "Hopefully, we can finish strong and finish ranked when it's all said and done."
The Gamecocks have played well lately but they now run into a Gators team playing their best football of the season. Take the Gators and give the 22.5 points.
