Fantasy Football
Fantasy Football has become such an integral part of American culture that training camp actually now means something. With the start of camps over the past week, fantasy owners have begun to pay attention.

It used to be that the owners would just pick up a magazine a few days before the draft and wing it from there. That is not the case anymore with fantasy football becoming a big money proposition.

Owners in some leagues shell out big portions of their entertainment dollars towards being in fantasy leagues. A couple of years ago, they started to believe that if they were going to spend the money, then they should put in the time.

Training camps around the league are watched with much more intent
than ever before. Every day fantasy owners are searching the Internet to find out if any of their favorite players have gotten hurt. They are also keeping an eye on potential sleeper picks for their draft.

One injury during the next four weeks could severely change the plans of a prepared owner. This is not to say that all fantasy owners move about their business with this kind of focus, but certainly more do than what use4d to be the case.

Holdouts and disgruntled players now mean more to the fantasy owner than before. They want their teams up and ready when they leave their draft rooms. They want to know that all their hard work in scouting has paid off. Even if a league championship does just come down to a few lucky touchdowns here and there.
