Louisville Cardinals
Louisville Cardinals
Friday night the Cincinnati Bearcats head to Big East rival Louisville. Cincinnati has cracked the Top 25 for the first time this season. Thanks to back-to-back victories over ranked opponents, including a thrilling 26-23 overtime win last weekend over West Virginia, the Bears cats find themselves at # 22.

Odds makers say that Cincinnati is a slight favorite on the road heading into Louisville Stadium. College football betting lines have the Bearcats at -4 with the total sitting at 47.

The Bearcats look to continue rolling and move toward their first Big East title on Friday night when they visit Louisville hoping to snap a five-game losing streak against the Cardinals.

Cincinnati at 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference gave up the final 23 points
in its 40-16 loss to Connecticut on Oct. 25, a finish that could have started a tailspin as they entered the toughest stretch of their schedule.

Cincinnati has responded with consecutive wins over ranked Big East rivals, defeating the then 24th ranked South Florida Bulls 24-10 on Oct. 30 before edging then 20th ranked West Virginia 26-23 in overtime Saturday.

"A lesser team would've folded under those circumstances," second-year Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly said. "It was just a great football game, one that we knew that we had to win if we wanted to talk about being a Big East contender."

Louisville has won nine of the last 10 meetings between the former Conference USA rivals, including five straight, but look for Cincinnati to snap that streak on Friday night. Take the Bearcats and give the 4 points.
