The Northern Illinois Huskies host the Central Michigan Chippewas on Wednesday night Mid-American Conference action. Odds makers are calling the Huskies a slight home favorite. College football betting lines have Northern Illinois at -4 with the total set at 49.5.

The Huskies come into this game at 5-4 as they had their three game winning streak snapped last week with a loss to Ball State 45-14. QB Chandler Harnish was 14-of-22 for 115 yards and 1 INT and the defense gave up a season-high point total.

"There's no question that of the teams we've played this year that Ball State is the best football team we've played," said Huskies coach Jerry Kill. "Their quarterback is outstanding, they're fundamentally sound in all phases of the game and I have great respect for
what they've done here."

The Chippewas are 7-2 and come in amidst a five game winning streak including an impressive 37-34 shootout on the road against Indiana on November 1st.

Quarterback Dan LeFevour has thrown for more than 1,600 yards and 11 touchdowns on the year thus far. The Chippewas are still in contention for the MAC title at 5-0, sitting just a half game back in the West Division behind Ball State, who took care of Miami of Ohio last night. Northern Illinois is in fourth place in the West with a 4-2 mark.

As far as the conference goes, if the Chippewas can win out; they will take the division title and have chance at a Conference Championship. That's no small task with the 16th ranked Ball State Cardinals up next.

Look for Central Michigan to stay on a roll. Take the Chippewas getting the 4 points.
