Minnesota Vikings
Sunday's match-up between the Packers and Vikings has huge implications going into the second half of the season as Green Bay heads into Minnesota. Odds makers are calling the Vikings a slight favorite at home against their NFC North rivals. NFL betting lines have Minnesota at -2.5 with the total sitting at 44.5 points.

The NFC North is up for grabs with the Bears at 5-3 and the Vikings and Packers both at 4-4. Minnesota is desperate to even up the season series and take a one game lead over the Packers as they lost the season opener in Green Bay in week one.

Green Bay is 5-0 in the last five meetings with Minnesota including quarterback Aaron Rodgers first career start on September 8th. Rodgers was 18-of-22 for 178 yards and a touchdown in the week one 24-19 victory. Through the first half of his first season as the starter in Green
Bay, Rodgers has proven to be top NFL passer.

Thus far in 2008, Rodgers has thrown for just under 2,000 yards and 13 touchdowns to just 5 interceptions.

The Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has also proven to be a top-notch young star. After leading the NFC in rushing in his rookie campaign, Peterson is on pace to run for more than 1,600 yards in 2008.

After starting 0-2, the Vikings have won four out of their last six games to pull back to .500 and thanks to the solid play of 15-year veteran Gus Frerotte, within one game of the division lead. After taking over the starting job from Tavaris Jackson after week two, Frerotte has completed almost 60 percent of his passes for more than 1,400 yards and eight touchdowns.

This week look for the Vikings to try and control the clock with Peterson on the ground and play solid defense. Take the Vikings at home and give the 2.5 points.
