Atlanta Falcons Sunday the New Orleans Saints head to the Georgia Dome to take on the Falcons in an NFC-South math-up. Odds makers are calling Falcons a home favorite as these two face-off in Atlanta. Pro football betting lines have the Falcons at -1 with the total sitting at 50.
Both of these divisional foes have their sights set on the post-season. They look at this key game to use as a stepping stone to a strong second half of 2008.
The 4-4 Saints have been led to their quarterback. Drew Brees is having a career year. The New Orleans signal caller has thrown for more than 2,500 yards and 15 touchdowns to just 7 interceptions. They will need every bit of his ability this weekend as leading rusher Reggie Bush has been officially ruled as "out" for Sunday.

At 5-3, the Atlanta Falcons resurgence began on draft day when they took quarterback Matt Ryan with the third overall pick. Ryan has passed for over 1,600 yards and 9 touchdowns, but more importantly, just 5 interceptions. As well as Ryan has played the Falcons owe their success to the work they have down on the ground.
Running back Michael Turner is averaging 4.5 yards per carry and has rushed for just under 800 yards for the season. Atlanta leads the NFL rushing with 163.4 yards per game.
If the Falcons can continue to have success on the ground against a Saints run defense that ranks 18th in the league against the rush, they should be able to come out of this one with a win at home. Take Atlanta and give the 1 point at home.
