Patriots Add Lamont Jordan To Their Offensive Arsenal

Newest Patriot The New England Patriots fell one win shy of becoming the second undefeated team in the history of the NFL. Now they are going about their business as usual in adding key players to complement their existing team.
New England pounced on the chance to sign a former starting running back that was released a day earlier. Lamont Jordan was a starter for the Oakland Raiders but was cut by the team on Friday.
On Saturday, the Patriots snatched up the running back to add to an offensive arsenal that already has Tom Brady and Randy Moss. The
They signed Jordan from the New York Jets back in 2005. He never really reached the potential of being a top notch running back in the NFL. Now, he will become another in the long list of role players for the Patriot machine.
Terms of the deal were not released. Jordan is twenty nine years old and may benefit by going to a team with as many offensive weapons as the Patriots. New England, under Bill Belichick has a history of bringing in players who have underperformed elsewhere and making them productive players.
