A week ago, the Cleveland Browns appeared to break out of their shell and show the league a glimpse of the team that was 10-6 last season when they upset the defending Champion Giants 35-14. This week the 2-3 Browns head to Washington to take on the 4-2 Redskins. Odds makers are calling Washington a 7 1/2 point favorite at home against the surging Browns.

The Browns were led by quarterback Derick Anderson and wide-out Braylon Edwards in the victory against New York. Anderson was 18-of-29 for 310 yards and two touchdowns including 5 hook-ups with Braylon Edward for a career high 154 yards and one score.

"This springboards us into our second season," said Edwards, after the win. "The first three losses are over. We have 11 games left to play like we did tonight."

The
Browns compiled 454 yards of offense, and didn't have to punt all game. Coach Romeo Crennel, however, didn't want to get to high on the win."We still have a lot of work to do," he said.

"The season is still a long season and just because we won one game it doesn't put us in the playoffs. We're not even .500."

The 4-2 Redskins are coming off a shocking loss to the winless Rams, Washington will be looking to rebound and get back on a winning streak. Before their second loss a week ago, the Redskins had won four in a row and appeared to be an elite team in the NFC. If last week was any indication, it will not get easier against the Browns.

With Cleveland swirling with confidence, this should be a close one. It may come down to a late field goal. Take the Browns getting the 7 1/2 points.
