Boise State Broncos
Friday night the 15th ranked Boise State Broncos host the Hawaii Warriors at Bronco Stadium in Boise. Odds makers are calling the 5-0 Broncos a 24 point favorite at home against the 3-3 Warriors.

Hawaii is coming off two straight wins after starting 1-3, including a 32-29 overtime victory on the road at then-ranked no. 22 Fresno State. Junior quarterback Inoke Funaki was 17-of-25 for 170 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start for the Warriors. Funaki also ran for 79 yards on 14 carries in the win.

"I think Inoke Funaki is outstanding," Warriors coach Greg McMackin said. "He brings so much to the table. He creates so many problems because he's so mobile."

Last week against Louisiana Tech, the Warriors signal caller threw for 224 yards and another two scores while picking up his first rushing touchdown of his career.
Funaki will have his toughest match-up thus far against a Boise State defense that ranks seventh in the nation in scoring, allowing just an average of 11.2 points per game.

A week ago Southern Miss entered their contest with Boise State as the nation's No. 17 offense, but the Broncos yielded only 278 yards in a 24-7 victory.

"They've been paying attention," Boise State coach Chris Peterson said of his defense. "They've been buying into it whether it is red zone or fourth down. They just seem to turn the dial up and make a play when they need to."

Their defense compensated for Boise State's struggling offense. Against Southern Miss the Broncos fumbled four times and quarterback Kellen Moore threw an interception.

The Boise State defense should control this one enough for the Broncos to come away with a win, but Hawaii will keep it close. Take the Warriors on the road getting the 24 points.
