Denver Broncos Sunday afternoon the 4-1 Denver Broncos square-off with the 2-3 Jacksonville Jaguars at Mile High Stadium. Odds makers call the Broncos a 3 point favorite with the total set at 48.
The Broncos have jumped into a two-game lead in the AFC West with an offense that's averaging 415.0 yards per game through its first five contests. Jay Cutler and the Broncos' passing attack have led the way. Denver's signal caller has thrown for 296.8 yards per game and 10 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions. Cutler leads all AFC quarterbacks in yards with 1,502 through the air.
As good as Denver's offense has been their defense has been nearly as bad. The Broncos are 29th in the league in total defense, allowing 388.4 yards per game.
"We've been in some high-scoring
Jacksonville's defense has not been much better. The Jaguars rank 22nd in the league in total defense, allowing 344.0 yards per game and is giving up over 22 points per game. This is very uncharacteristic of a Jack Del Rio defense.
"It's something that simply has to be better," Del Rio said. "It's the difference between being good and not being good. If you can't get off the field on third down, you give yourself more exposure to all the things you want to avoid."
With the Jags struggling so much on the defensive side of the ball and the Broncos being so explosive, this could mean big problems for a Jacksonville team trying to get to .500. Take the Broncos and give the 3 points.
