According to Dallas police, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was involved in an altercation early Wednesday morning at a Dallas hotel.

Deputy Chief Vince Golbeck, commander of the central patrol division, said that Jones hit his bodyguard at the Joule hotel. Officers were called to the hotel about 1:30 a.m. and were told there was a disturbance between Adam Jones and one of his security officers.

Dallas police wrote an incident report that stated that there were broken mirrors and a bill was unpaid. The incident report did not mention Adam Jones' name and sources close to the Cowboys cornerback dispute the report.

Jones was not available for comment. Calls to the bodyguard were not returned.

Adam
Jones returned to the NFL in August when he was fully reinstated after serving a one-year suspension for violations of the league conduct policy. When he was allowed to fully re-enter the league on Aug. 28, he was told any further problems could result in a lifetime ban.

League officials declined to make any comment about the incident. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had a previously scheduled meeting with the Cowboys and Jones on Wednesday. It's not known if Goodell knew about the incident at that time.

If Jones was to be suspended again it would put a serious strain on the Cowboys already thin secondary. Dallas is depending on Adam Jones, especially with the recent injuries to Pro Bowl cornerback Terence Newman. Jones has started every game and leads the team with 11 passes defended.
