The no. 1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners and the no. 5 ranked Texas Longhorns head into their annual Big 12 match-up with both teams in the top 5 for the first time since 2004. Both teams will be looking to remain unbeaten with their sight set on a National Championship. Odds makers are calling the Sooners preliminary favorite as they head into Saturday.

Texas and Oklahoma were ranked 19th and 10th respectively a year ago and the Sooners came away with a 28-20 victory. After starting 0-2 in the conference, Texas bounced back and won six of their last seven games and beat Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl finishing 10-3.

In last season's big win over Texas, quarterback Sam Bradford led the Sooners offense by throwing three touchdown passes. The Sooners went on to finish 11-3 after losing in the Fiesta
Bowl to West Virginia.

"Obviously there's going to be a lot more emotion and energy going into this game," Bradford said. "You have to settle down and just treat it like any other game, you can't get out of what you're used to doing.

So far in 2008, Bradford has thrown for more than 1,600 yards and 18 touchdowns while only being picked 3 times.

Texas quarterback Colt McCoy is 25-6 since taking over as the starter after Vince Young left for the NFL. McCoy is five wins shy of the school record. The Longhorns signal caller has thrown for 1280 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2008. He has also, rushed for over 300 yard and has three touchdowns on the ground.

"We know it's going to be a challenge," McCoy said. "It's going to be a tough test. They are deserving of being No. 1. We know the challenge in front of us, and we are looking forward to it."
