On Monday Night Football, the 1-3 Minnesota Vikings head to New Orleans to battle with the 2-2 Saints in the Superdome. After turning in their best defensive performance a week ago, the Saints will have their hands full tonight with one of the NFL's best running backs.

Odds makers say the Saints are 3 point favorites at home with the total set at 46 1/2.

Although the Saints have let up the fifth highest total yards in the league thus far, they did play well last week against the 49ers. The New Orleans defense held Frank Gore and San Francisco's running attack to just 91 yards in a 31-17 home victory...

Although the Saints have let up the fifth highest total yards in the league thus far, they did play well last week against the 49ers. The New Orleans defense held Frank Gore and San Francisco's running attack to just 91 yards in a 31-17 home victory.

Monday night they have to contend with second year star Adrian Peterson when the Vikings come calling. Peterson has compiled 420 yards and 3 touchdowns so far in 2008. The Vikings tailback is averaging over 5 yards per carry but has been held under 100 yards the last two games.

"We've seen some real good runners both at home and on the road, but this guy is the best we've seen to date," coach Sean Payton told the Saints' official Web site. "There's something else about him and the guys blocking for him are something else. He's big and strong, he's exceptional."

Like the Vikings lean on their running back Peterson, the Saints depend on their quarterback to win. Drew Brees is the third highest passer in the NFL and has been playing at the top of his game.

Take the Saints and give the 3 points at home.
