Ohio State Buckeyes The Ohio State Buckeyes head to Madison, Wisconsin to take on the Badgers in primetime on Saturday night. With both no. 14 Ohio State and no. 18 Wisconsin both having their sights set on a National Championship, this is a must win game. The loser will be all but eliminated from contention.
Odds makers are calling the Buckeyes a 1 1/2 point favorite as they head into Camp Randall Stadium for the first time in almost five years.
Ohio State will be looking to put their mid-September loss to USC behind them and start building some momentum as they head down the stretch. The 4-1 Buckeyes have now won two in a row at home against Minnesota (34-21) and Troy (28-10). This will be their first true test since their 35-3 debacle against the Trojans.
Since the loss to USC the Buckeyes' highly touted
The 3-1 Badgers are coming off their first loss of the season, 27-25 at Michigan. Wisconsin blew a 19 point halftime lead against the Wolverines to open conference play.
"All losses are deflating and when you have high expectations and lofty goals," says Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema. "Those things are always going to have a hard-hitting effect on your program. The one thing I want my players to understand is that they're a good football team that didn't play well enough to overcome several blown opportunities."
This one should be a well played hard fought match-up. Look for Ohio State to do enough to win on the road. Take the Buckeyes and give the 1 1/2 points.
