Penn State vs Purdue
The no. 6 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions will be trying to prove that they are worthy of the top ten ranking this week as they travel to Purdue to take on the Boilermakers. Since 2003 the Nittany Lions are 9-16 on the road overall. Odds makers are calling Penn State a 13 1/2 point favorite with total set at 58.

Although Penn State has been almost unbeatable at home as of late, but it hasn't been nearly as successful playing outside of Beaver Stadium.

"Obviously, we've been beaten on the road a lot recently, but we've played some good teams," coach Joe Paterno said. "Whether it was us not being good enough or being beaten by a better team, I don't think about it."

After
play four of their first five games in Happy Valley, the Lions will be facing a tough stretch over the next month or so that will include games at no. 14 Ohio State and no. 18 Wisconsin.

"Right now we're not worried about the next four games," said senior wide receiver Derrick Williams. "We're worried about the next game against Purdue."

For the Purdue to be successful, they will need more out of the quarterback position. Senior, Curtis Painter has not thrown a touchdown pass in three career games against Penn State, all three losses. In fact, Purdue has not scored an offensive touchdown in either of the last two meetings between these two.

Look for much of the same this year, take the Lions and give the 14 1/2 points at home.
