Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama Crimson Tide
After last week's impressive victory over Georgia the no. 2 ranked Alabama host undefeated Kentucky in an SEC matchup Saturday afternoon. Odds makers are calling the Crimson Tide a 16 point favorite at home against the Wildcats.

Although Kentucky heads into their conference opener with the nation's number one scoring defense, allowing only 5.5 point per game, they will have their hands full with Alabama.

"This is an opportunity to see where we stand in the SEC as far as having an impact on the league," said Kentucky coach Rich Brooks. "This is a game, that in my mind, if we are going to have a chance to win it is going to have to be a near-perfect game for us as far as mistakes, penalties, turnovers, takeaways and we need to play at our optimal best to achieve it."

Alabama coach Nick Saban's Crimson Tide will be
playing with their highest ranking in 15 years. This has Tide fans talking about a national championship, but Saban has other ideas. When asked about his team's chances about winning a BCS Title Saban had this to say.

"After five games? Let's see when we get a full body of work at the end of the season." Sabin went on to say about the conference home opener against the Wildcats, "If you get satisfied and you fall in love with yourself, you get complacent and lose your desire. Kentucky is undefeated just like us, and we know we are in for a challenge."

The SEC has proven to be the toughest conference in college football, just ask the Florida Gators. Rick Brooks will have his team ready to play. Look for Alabama to show that they are human and have a bit of a letdown this week. The Crimson Tide should win, but the Wildcats may keep it close. Take Kentucky getting the 16 point on the road.
