Time To Win? The San Diego Chargers have been on the brink of being the best team in the NFL for a couple of seasons now. Much like the Colts and Patriots before them, they have to prove they can take the throne away from the elite teams in their conference.
This is the year that many believe the Chargers will finally get over that hump. They come into training camp with an offense that has the potential to be explosive, and a defense that has gotten better the past few years.

Now, the Chargers are in a similar position. The Patriots are still favored to be the best team in the league. Indianapolis is not far behind, making them the number two choice. That leaves San Diego at number three, a spot they will keep until they prove they can win in the playoffs.
The schedule should favor the Chargers thanks to their own division. The Raiders and Chiefs are still miserable, and one never knows what kind of team Mike Shanahan will march out on the field in Denver.
The window of opportunity is closing on San Diego, their players are now getting older, and if they are going to win a title, this upcoming year might be their best shot.
