Tigers vs Volunteers
After a tough loss to LSU a week ago the Auburn Tigers host Tennessee in another nice SEC match up. Odds makers are calling Auburn a 6 1/2 point favorite at home against the Vols with the total set at 40 1/2.

Tennessee has had a rough go of it so far in 2008 and it's not going to get any easier for the Vols against Auburn. The Tigers are coming off a heart breaking last minute loss to LSU in what could have propelled Auburn into the national spotlight.

"We took a major step forward. We played much better than we did last week," Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville said after the loss. "I'm proud of the offense. At times, we started executing and we didn't have the crazy penalties that we had
last week or the turnovers. We are not satisfied obviously with losing the game. That's hard fought."

Tennessee was embarrassed last week by 4th ranked Florida in Knoxville 30-6. They also lost in their season opener against UCLA 27-24. Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer still has hopes that his Volunteers can turn the season around.

"We played for the championship (last year) in Atlanta when a lot of other people had given up on us early," said Fulmer. "We don't give up, it's just a little bit harder road."

That road begins away from home this week in against a tough Tigers team. Look for Auburn to bounce back from their loss of a week ago and give Tennessee their worst start since going 1-3 in 1994. Take the Tigers and give the 6 1/2.
