The Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins completed a deal on Sunday that sent disgruntled defensive end Jason Taylor to the Redskins in exchange for two draft picks. The Dolphins received a second round pick next year and a sixth round pick in 2010 for Taylor.

Washington had to move quickly on Taylor after their starting defensive end Phillip Daniels left the practice field on a cart on the first day of training camp. Daniels is going to be out for the season.

Taylor has been wanting a trade out of Miami since his long time teammate Zach Thomas left to go to the Dallas Cowboys. Taylor had fallen
out of grace with the current regime in Miami that is led by Bill Parcells.

Parcells was reportedly not happy with Taylor's decision to join the cast of Dancing With The Stars last year. Although no public comments were made, it was clear that the Dolphins had been shopping Taylor.

He is coming off a sub par season for himself. The team last year only won one game, and Taylor and his teammates were continuously torched by opposing offenses. The year before, however, Taylor was the Defensive Player of The Year.

Washington is hoping he returns to his old form. They are trying to narrow the gap between themselves and the Cowboys and Giants.
