Pittsburgg Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin discussed quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's sore shoulder in Tuesday's news conference, saying that his QB's nursing a mild sprain. Tomlin dismissed reports that Roethlisberger was playing with a seperated right shoulder on Sunday night against the Browns.

"I have no idea where that report came from," Tomlin said. "It did not come from me or my medical staff. The guy has a sore shoulder, just an AC sprain."

The Steelers QB has been limited in practice so far this week and is not expected to do much throwing in practice at all throughout the week.

Tomlin said team doctors think
that Roethlisberger can do no furture damage by playing. When the coach was asked if he worried about the Pro Bowl QB missing practice Tomlin was not concerned. He asured the media that Big Ben was going to be the starting quarterback for the Steelers this Sunday against the Eagles in Philadelphia.

"Some guys require a great number of snaps to get prepared to play. Thankfully with Ben he's a quick study and sharp guy. Hopefully it won't be an issue this week."

Last Sunday night against the Browns, Roethlisberger was 12-of-19 for 186 yards and a touchdown in bad weather during the Steelers 10-6 victory over the Browns. Ben threw the ball well even in the wind and rain in Cleveland.
